Not Dad, no. He doesn't need to use flasks, actually- he's got way better control of elemancy on his own. Ignis dug up some ancient text from the library back when I was still having trouble getting any magic going. I think he was tired of listening to me complain about it.

There was a king generations back who had a similar problem as me- wasn't from a daemon attack, but he had less power than his older brother. When he became king, he had to step up, so I guess he did a bunch of research on charging items with elemental energy. Elemancy on weapons is what Specs got out of it, and flasks worked pretty well for me.
